A little while ago we reported that Jessica Alba had signed on to be the main character in Tom Cruises upcoming thriller “The Eye”, well we figured you might be interested to know a number of other decent names will be joining the cast as well..
Alessandro Nivola from Face/Off, Mansfield Pared and a decent flick called Laurel Canyon.

Parker Posey, who has had roles in both Scream 3 and Blade: Trinity..
While it’s good see the cast starting to shape up into something that won’t just be relying on Alba’s star power but I am seriously wondering if this is the “right” cast.. I mean Jessica is gorgeous and talented but I just cant see her taking the role of someone with a posed eye and emoting herself in a believable way..
But either way I love to see Jessica Alba on the big screen so I’ll take it without compliant!

I have to say I was quite surprised to hear that Jessica had signed on to star in a Tom Cruise directed horror movie entitled “The Eye”.
The movie is a remake of a Hong Kong movie, released back in 2002, in which Jessica Alba’s character is given an eye transplant which gives her the ability to see supernatural things around her.
If you believe the rumors, Alba was paid approximately $4 million USD and seeing as how all the details of the movie have yet to be worked out it wouldn’t surprise me if Tom had to borrow the money in order to sign her so quickly.

A company called ThinkFilm has purchased the US and Canadian distribution rights to Jessica Alba’s indie movie entitled “The Ten”
Thankfully in the same press release announcing then purchase ThinkFilm informed us that movie will make its theater debut this coming August
Mark Urman, the person responsible for the purchase, seemed quite up beat saying “We thought it was a hilarious, funny, movie, and that if we brought it to an audience with brains and style, it would have the ability to do better than ‘The Aristocrats’ or ‘Strangers with Candy’”
Personally I was kind of hoping this one would hit theaters earlier then August 07, but what can you do

I know its not exactly focused on Jess but reports have surfaced that Angelina Jolie simply couldn’t fit Sin City 2 into her schedule and has been replaced with Rachel Weisz.
Angelina was the original Sin City’s main character so it definitely is a risky move to continue with the movie despite the loss… Hopefully the change over won’t affect the movie’s success or Jessica Alba’s career.
When asked about the movie Rachel replied “We’ve talked about it. I’ve read the comic and I don’t think it’s on the way to being made right at the moment, so, when it’s actually in production, I’m sure we’ll talk about it. It was a funny thing though, because the project actually came to me while I was pregnant and it was like, I was feeling very maternal, and now there’s this sexy, violent, loud film, and I thought, ‘You know after I’m pregnant that will be a nice movie to do.’”
